"No one thought that we could do this," said Willie Doher of the Catholic Knights Wheelchair Brigade referring to the obvious physical disabilities that he and his fellow co-workers have. But even bound to wheelchairs, this determined team took just two days to construct a magnificent Monument of Faith that has attracted the attention of sightseers from many miles around.

"Yea, there were a few problems, like Sammy kept rolling down the darn thing just before she made it to the top. That was a real hassle because we needed the next sandbag and it was her job to get them up there", said Doher. "But she is a tough kid and was not about to let her being blind and in a wheelchair stop her from doing her job".

For their efforts, the Catholic Knights Wheelchair Brigade was awarded a $300,000.00 grant which is slated to go towards a new community center for people with disabilities.
